I recently came across the case of Luther Rapp Jr., who was tragically shot outside a home on Everton Street back in April 2009. It's deeply troubling to think that despite the impact this has had on his loved ones and the community, no arrests have been made after all this time. The fact that two juveniles were also injured shows how complex and dangerous the situation was. It’s been over a decade, and my heart goes out to his family, who must be yearning for closure and justice. I think it’s critical that we continue to support the community’s efforts to combat gun violence and press for resolutions in these unsolved cases. Lincoln-Lemington, like many neighborhoods, deserves a sense of safety and security, and addressing unsolved homicides could be a step in the right direction. If anyone has information or memories about that day or the people involved, even if it seems insignificant, it could help investigators make a breakthrough. Let’s not forget Luther Rapp Jr. and the promise of justice for his family.
