I’ve been thinking a lot about the impact of growing up in an environment surrounded by violence and how it shapes young people's lives. My heart goes out to Edwardo Santiago’s family during this incredibly difficult time. It’s hard to believe that someone so young had to lose their life to violence. It's frustrating to see the cycle continue year after year. I wonder if there were any outreach programs or support mechanisms available in his neighborhood that might have made a difference. What do you all think? Are there specific initiatives in Philadelphia or elsewhere that have successfully engaged the community and helped reduce violence? Edwardo's story reminds us why it's crucial to push for effective community programs that address the root causes of violence. Anyone else have thoughts or know of any promising efforts being made?
