I've been following Becky Marzo's case for a while now, and something that's always bothered me is the delay in officially reporting her missing. It's incredibly frustrating to think that her mother faced obstacles for months before the police finally took the report seriously. I can't imagine how much valuable time was lost. Considering the abuse Becky suffered and the serious charges Rodgers was facing even after her disappearance, it seems baffling that the case wasn't treated with more urgency from the start. I just keep thinking about how those early months could have been crucial for finding new leads. Does anyone have insight into why there might have been such a delay with the police?

The part of Becky's case that really puzzles me is the delay in filing the missing person report. I mean, how is it possible that it took until June 2004 for the police to accept the report? It was a whole six months after Becky went missing! It just blows my mind that even after such serious signs, given her history with Rodgers, it wasn't immediately prioritized. Are these kind of delays common in other cases, too? I feel like this might have cost them crucial time in the investigation, and it's so frustrating. Anyone with more insight on missing person protocol during that time, especially in Wisconsin?

I’ve been following Becky's case for a while, and one aspect I find really unsettling is how long it took for the authorities to take her disappearance seriously. It boggles my mind how her mother had to fight for months just to file a missing persons report. I know it was 2003, and maybe things were different, but it really makes you wonder how many other cases might have slipped through the cracks because of delays like that. Has anyone else come across similar delays in other cases? It seems like every moment counts in those early days when someone goes missing.
