I've been thinking a lot about Wyana Archer's case and the broader situation in Philly back in 2010. It's really troubling to see how the systemic issues in the city created an environment where young people were so at risk. Wyana was one of those rare female victims in the statistics that year, and her tragic death serves as a stark reminder that gun violence doesn't discriminate based on gender or any other factors. It's just so deeply sad knowing that this was a reality for so many families during that time. I wonder what changes, if any, have been made since then to address the root causes of this violence. It would be comforting to know that her loss wasn't in vain and that steps are being taken to protect other young lives. To those who knew Wyana, my heart truly goes out to you.
