It's been over a decade since Lonnie Rowland was tragically taken from his friends and family, and yet his murder still remains unsolved. I'm incredibly frustrated and saddened by how common these stories are in Philadelphia, especially among young Black men like Lonnie. It must be so hard for the families, stuck in a cycle of grief and uncertainty. Does anyone know if there's been any update or renewed effort by local authorities in cases like Lonnie's? Other cities have tried cold case units or community initiatives with varying results. I'm curious if there's been any movement in Philly, or alternative approaches that could spark new leads or encourage witnesses to come forward. Lonnie and folks like him deserve justice and peace for their loved ones. Every unsolved case is a wound left open, both for those who knew him and for the city as a whole. If there’s anything we can do to bring these stories back into focus, we should try. Thoughts?
