Hey everyone, I've been following Jimmy Gonzales' case, and something odd struck me about the delay in public information. Why was there such a lag from the time he disappeared in late August until the community found out in October? You'd think in a situation involving a missing 13-year-old, there'd be immediate action. Do you think it's because he ran away from a group home, and they possibly thought he'd come back on his own? It bothers me that no AMBER Alert was issued either. I understand it didn’t meet the criteria since they think he left voluntarily, but still. The time lost feels critical. Anyone else find the delay concerning? How do we push for quicker alerts in similar situations in the future?

Hey everyone, I've been following the case of Jimmy Gonzales, and something that's been bugging me lately is the delayed public awareness. How is it possible that it took until October for the public to hear about his disappearance when he went missing back in August? I understand cases like these involve sensitive info, but wouldn’t getting the word out sooner increase the chances of sightings or gaining helpful tips? It makes me wonder if this lag is common or if there were specific reasons in Jimmy's case. I know getting news out immediately can sometimes make a big difference, especially when a child is missing. Has anyone else noticed this kind of delay in other cases or have insight on why this might happen? Engaging the community early on seems crucial, especially with a kid his age. Thoughts?
