I was reading about Benjamin Butcher's case, and I can't stop thinking about how the violence in Philadelphia was spiraling out of control around that time. It's chilling to realize how young Benjamin was and how his life was cut short so senselessly. He was in the prime of his life, probably with dreams and plans like any other 20-year-old, yet his future was stolen in the blink of an eye. The lack of information is incredibly frustrating; it's like his story is just another statistic in a long list of tragedies. My heart really goes out to his family and friends who are left in the dark, probably still searching for answers after all these years. It's another reminder of how critical it is to address gun violence and find ways to protect the youth in our communities.
