I recently came across the case of Donnis Marie Redman and it got me thinking about the abandoned car they found in Williams, Arizona. It's so strange that Griffin's Dodge Clipper was just left there. Did they run into trouble or plan to ditch the car all along? It makes you wonder if maybe someone else was involved after they left California. The fact that not a single belonging or trace of them was found with the car is just so odd. Even if they wanted to run away, you'd think they would take at least a few personal things with them. Anyone else have thoughts or theories on why Williams might've been the spot their car was discovered and how it fits into their disappearance?
I've been diving into the mystery surrounding Donnis Marie Redman and Michael Griffin, and there's something about the location where Griffin's car was found that keeps gnawing at me. Williams, Arizona, is this small town, and back in 1958, it was pretty much a route a lot of folks took to reach other places. The car being abandoned there might suggest they ran into trouble or decided to lay low for some reason. I read somewhere that it was a bit of a stopping point along Route 66, so could they have planned to go somewhere else afterward? Did they meet someone there who convinced them to change plans? Or was it just a random point where something unforeseen happened? Anyone local have more insights into how bustling or isolated this area was back in the late '50s? I'd love to hear theories on what could've been a reason for them to end up in Williams.
