I've been digging into Joseph "Joe-Ed" Edwards' case, and something that's been on my mind is the role of that unmarked white car seen near his abandoned vehicle. Several rumors point out it might've been a law enforcement vehicle, which makes the whole situation even more chilling. If that's true, it only adds weight to the claims of complicity between law enforcement and the Klan at the time. It's frustrating to think that a witness or someone who knows the truth might still be out there, keeping quiet due to fear. This car seems like a key piece of the puzzle, but how do we untangle truth from all the layers of intimidation and cover-ups from that era? Makes me wonder if there's still evidence floating in some dusty file waiting to be uncovered. Anyone else think this car could be a bigger lead than it's been treated as?
