Does anyone else find it deeply upsetting how community programs, like the one modeled after Cure Violence, often lose funding when they start showing promise? It seems like these initiatives could have made a real difference in preventing tragedies like Darrell Coulter's murder. I’ve read about cases where local programs helped decrease violence, yet they still get cut. It's frustrating to think that these bureaucratic decisions might contribute to ongoing issues in high-crime areas. My heart truly goes out to Darrell’s family and friends, as well as all the other families who have been affected during these turbulent times in Philly. What more can be done to ensure these programs get the consistent support they need to really help people?
