Hey everyone, I wanted to shine a light on and discuss the role of community involvement following the tragedy of Devonte Snowden’s passing. This case really hits hard, not just for those who knew Devonte, but for the entire Lincoln-Lemington area. I can't help but think about how vital community support is in times like these.
I read that there have been local meetings and vigils to honor Devonte's memory and push for change. It’s heartening to see folks coming together, but it's clear there's so much more work to be done. People are understandably frustrated, not just because another young life was needlessly cut short, but also because the broader issue of violence doesn't seem to wane.
If you’re from the Pittsburgh area, have you seen or been a part of any efforts that seem to be making a difference? How can those of us outside the immediate community offer support in a meaningful way? Often it feels like we're shouting into a void, and I want to believe we can do more than that. Any thoughts or suggestions? Let’s keep Devonte’s memory alive by fostering real change.
