Has anyone looked into the connection between Sheryl’s uncashed paychecks and her disappearance? It seems unusual to leave behind that amount of money if you’re planning to run away. I wonder if this suggests she intended to come back or if she might have been meeting someone she thought she could trust. Also, has there been any talk around local security or surveillance at the time? It’s a long shot given the era, but even witness accounts or workplace logs might help piece together her last movements. It's unsettling to think she was so worried about her siblings' well-being but managed to disappear without a trace. Thoughts?
Did anyone else find it strange that Sheryl left her paychecks behind? If she was planning to leave Wassaic voluntarily, it doesn’t make much sense to leave money unclaimed, especially considering her background with little family support. From what I've read, those uncashed checks seem like a significant clue suggesting she wasn't intending to leave on her own. I wonder if there's a chance someone prevented her from cashing them in? It bothers me that the missing persons report wasn’t even filed until 1998. How did this slip through the cracks for so long? This case never sat right with me, and I keep thinking there had to be people in her life at the time who might know more than they've let on, especially the co-worker who allegedly assaulted her. It's like a piece is missing in the official narrative. Just hoping that after all these years, someone, somewhere, will feel compelled to come forward with new information.
Does anyone else find it odd that Sheryl left her uncashed paychecks behind? That definitely doesn't sound like someone planning to leave on their own accord. I imagine even back then, $150 would have been a significant amount for a 17-year-old. Plus, it seems she had intended to visit her family soon for her mom’s birthday, which makes the whole situation more perplexing. I can't help but wonder if someone forced her away unexpectedly. And with the assault incident with the co-worker just a month before, it just raises more suspicions in my mind. How can someone simply vanish like that? No matter how much time has passed, I hope her siblings someday get the answers they’ve been waiting for. Anyone else have thoughts on why it took so long for a missing report to be filed? 25 years is such a long time.
