Has anyone else looked into the broader impact Layton Hagans' murder had on the local community organizations in Philly? I've read that his death, along with the other tragic homicides in May 2012, really sparked some community initiatives and brought people together to demand action against the gun violence epidemic. I came across a couple of community-led programs that were reportedly started because of the public outcry following those terrible incidents. It's devastating to see a life lost so senselessly, but there’s something hopeful about people coming together trying to make a change. Would love to hear if anyone knows more about these efforts or how they’ve evolved over the years.
