Anyone else ever wonder if Cherry Ann Greenman's case got tangled up in the serial killer panic that was happening back then? The late '70s and '80s were such a chaotic time when it came to these investigations, with everyone on edge and multiple overlapping cases. It’s curious that Cherry was considered a potential victim of the Green River Killer, only to have that theory dashed. I can’t help but think that with all that was going on with the big names in true crime back then, maybe someone less notorious slipped through the cracks. Not necessarily a serial case, but perhaps a one-time offender who never got caught? It's infuriating to think how many cases like hers might have been derailed by the sheer volume of craziness the authorities were dealing with back then. I really hope there's more to uncover that could shine a new light on this mystery, especially if it involves checking connections to lesser-known or then-active individuals in the area.
