Has anyone else taken a closer look at the plant material found in Stephanie's car? I find it intriguing that it came from a wet, marshy area. Given the geography around O'Hare and parts of Illinois, there are quite a few marshlands and wetlands to consider. Could this provide a clue as to where Stephanie might have been taken? I know it's a long shot after all these years, but maybe re-examining those areas with modern technology, like ground-penetrating radar, might lead to something. It seems like a potential lead that never got enough attention back in the day. Thoughts?

Has anyone delved into the discrepancies between Stephanie's disappearance and the timeline of events leading up to it? I'm curious about the significance of the date she vanished — October 25th, 1977. It seems like more than just a coincidence that this happened shortly after she filed for divorce. Timing can be everything, especially in cases like this where the relationship was reportedly volatile. Also, her car was found at O'Hare, which is interesting considering its distance from her home in Palatine. Was Stephanie known to have connections or reasons to travel to that area, or was this just a ruse to throw off the investigation? The plant material and blood evidence are particularly haunting, given how they hint at a location and violence without providing concrete answers. It's troubling to think how Stephanie seemed to be doing all the right things — arranging to meet the carpet installers, visiting a neighbor — and then she just vanished. I wonder if anyone in the neighborhood saw anything unusual that morning or if there's more to be uncovered about the hours leading up to her last sighting.
