Has anyone else noticed how a lot of Clarence "Pete" Dellis’s personal items were just left in his abandoned car? I mean, if someone were planning to disappear intentionally or was really in a rush for some reason, wouldn’t you expect them to at least take their belongings? It just seems strange to me that Pete’s car was found on a levee without any strong evidence of what might have happened. It’s like he just vanished into thin air. Plus, the levee’s not the easiest place to miss an abandoned vehicle. With New Orleans being such a bustling area even back in 1980, you’d think somebody would’ve seen something more. I hope more people come forward with any tips they might have, no matter how small they think it might be. What are everyone's thoughts on why the car could be left like that?
Hey everyone, I recently came across the case of Clarence Wayne Dellis, or as some called him, "Pete." It's really intriguing how someone could just vanish, especially on their birthday. What's bizarre to me is that his car was found on a levee. I've been trying to wrap my head around why it would be there. Did Pete have any connections to that area? Was he meeting someone, or could his car have been abandoned there under duress? It feels like such an odd place to leave a car. There's something about that detail that seems like it could be a key piece to the puzzle, yet it doesn't seem like it led anywhere. Does anyone more familiar with the area know if levees were common spots for anything unusual back then? I wonder if there's something about the location we're missing...
Hey everyone,
I recently stumbled across the case of Clarence "Pete" Wayne Dellis, and something really piqued my interest: the location where his car was found. It was abandoned on a levee in New Orleans. I've been researching levees in that area, and it's crazy how isolated and eerie some of them can be, especially at night. I can't help but wonder if this location holds more clues about what really happened. Was it chosen for its seclusion by someone with bad intentions, or did Pete possibly go there willingly? Maybe someone familiar with New Orleans in the 1980s could shed some light on whether that spot was known for anything specific back then. Anyone have any theories or local stories from around that area during that time?
