Hey everyone. I've been reading through the threads here and I can't help but feel deeply for Maurice Penny’s family and friends. I know we've discussed various aspects of the case, but I wanted to bring some attention to the community's response in the wake of this tragedy. I've read that there have been some local efforts, like vigils and meetings, to address violence in the Garfield neighborhood. It makes me think about how these events reverberate through the community and the way people come together in the aftermath. Does anyone know if these efforts have continued and if there’s been any positive change or initiatives that have emerged because of this? I truly hope that his loss can become a stepping stone for peace and unity in the area. Maurice deserved better, and so does every young person growing up in these neighborhoods.
