I'm curious if anyone has looked into the possibility that John Troha may have come into contact with someone he knew on his walk to the store. It seems odd that a young man would completely vanish on such a short trip without some kind of encounter or intervention. Did John have any known acquaintances in the area who might have seen him that day or perhaps given him a ride? I know it's been decades, but sometimes people remember the tiniest details that seem insignificant at the time. Even a small memory from someone who was in the area or knew him back then could provide critical insight into his movements that day. If anyone has memories they'd be willing to share, even if you're not sure it matters—every bit helps.
