I came across Kellie Marie Brownlee's case while researching disappearances in the Michigan area, and something about the Twelve Oaks Mall timeline keeps bugging me. She was last seen around 11 a.m., right? I keep thinking about how busy malls can be, especially around that time when stores open and employees start arriving. Did anyone ever look into security footage or talk to store employees who might have seen her after 11 a.m.?
It seems like a critical window of time is missing from what I've read—like, was there any confirmation of a job application being submitted after she talked to her friend's mom? It strikes me as odd that someone could just vanish from such a populated area without leaving more traces. If anyone has more details or theories about what possibly happened in those next few hours, I'd love to discuss it further. Let's try to keep her story alive and see if new eyes can bring new insights.
I can't get over why there wasn't more security or cameras at Twelve Oaks Mall back in 1982. It's such a busy place; you’d think there’d be some sort of visual record, even back then. Even if they weren’t super common at the time, it feels like they could have at least had security personnel who might remember something. The mall has probably had so many shops come and go, but is there anyone who worked there back then who remembers seeing Kellie or knows something? It’s been over 40 years, but maybe talking about it again will jog someone’s memory. Her case needs more attention, and revisiting who was in the area that day might uncover new details. Thoughts?
I've been digging into some of the old newspaper archives and found something interesting related to Kellie Marie Brownlee's case. It's well known that she was last seen at Twelve Oaks Mall, but what caught my attention is that this same mall had a few other incidents around the same time. In particular, there was an armed robbery and a couple of reports of suspicious individuals loitering there. I know these things don't necessarily connect directly, but it got me thinking about the possibility of someone outside of her immediate circle being involved.
Is it possible Kellie encountered someone at the mall who had bad intentions? With Arthur Ream now in the mix as a suspect, do you think he could have been prowling spots like the mall back then? It just makes me wonder if there’s something more to those seemingly unconnected incidents at Twelve Oaks. I'm curious if anyone else has come across similar info or theories about what else might have been happening at that mall in the early '80s.
