Hey everyone, I was digging through some old case files and stumbled upon Sharon's disappearance in 1984. One thing that's been puzzling to me is the role of the truck driver Long said he handed Sharon over to. It seems strange there's no trace of this supposed trucker or any record of the ride to Dallas. Given the extensive travels of truckers, if this is accurate, wouldn't there have been some trace? Someone might have noticed a young girl onboard, or maybe truck stop staff? Perhaps someone in the Dallas or Cheyenne trucking community from that time remembers something? It feels like a crucial gap – maybe someone out there has a lead and doesn't even know it. What do you all think? Anyone with ties to the trucking world have thoughts or connections that might help here? Let's keep the brainstorming going!

I’ve been diving deep into the Sharon Barefoot case, and there’s something that really caught my attention that hasn’t been discussed much here. Why would Long drive all the way to Amarillo, Texas, claiming he was looking for Sharon? It seems like an odd move for someone who supposedly had nothing to do with her disappearance. If he was innocent and didn't harm Sharon, why didn't he call the police himself when he realized they were searching for him? The detour just seems suspicious to me. Also, the "mystery trucker" Sharon supposedly left with—no traces, no sightings, nothing? It’s like he created a ghost story to cover his tracks. If anyone has thoughts or uncovered any new details related to this part of the case, I’d love to hear your perspective. Could there be more to this Amarillo angle than we realize?
