I was reading about Douglas Carl Denson's case and can't shake the odd feeling that there's more to the story they haven't uncovered yet. One thing that's always bothered me is the lack of personal items missing with him. Usually, don't people take something if they're planning to leave or if a crime is happening, wouldn't there be some trace? It almost feels like he vanished without a trace intentionally or was taken by someone who knew what they were doing. Has anyone else thought about how strange this detail is? I'm curious what others think might have happened on that day in 1985. Could it have been someone he knew, or maybe something else entirely?
