I can't stop thinking about James Burk and the eerie discovery of his submerged boat. Has anyone considered the possibility of strong currents in that area? I remember reading about how unpredictable the Tanana River can be, especially near the confluence. I wonder if that played a role in why his boat ended up submerged. It's also strange that he hasn't been found yet. If any local experts or people familiar with that part of the river could chime in, it might shed some light on whether the river's conditions could have affected his trip. Keeping my fingers crossed for some answers soon.
Just thinking about how experienced James Burk is supposed to be with the rivers in that area. Manley's a pretty small community, and everyone knows each other, so it's not like he was an inexperienced newcomer. For him to just vanish like this is really puzzling. With his boat found submerged but no sign of him, I keep wondering if there was some medical issue or if the weather took a sudden turn? The Tanana can be unpredictable, but you'd think someone who knows it so well would have a plan for anything thrown his way. I hope they can find some clues soon. It's hard on everyone when these searches don't turn up answers quickly.
