Jose Delacruz, 31, and Flor Guzman-Vasquez, 28, were shot and killed on January 12, 2007, while sitting in their pickup truck in San Francisco. A gunman approached the vehicle and fatally shot both adults. Their young children were present; a 5-year-old boy was sent to leave his baby sister in the truck and go into the neighborhood to seek help.
The San Francisco Police Department counts Delacruz’s homicide among its unsolved cold cases. Investigators have said there was insufficient evidence and witness cooperation to identify a suspect, and the case remains open as detectives seek new leads and tips. Rewards have been offered in the past for information that could lead to an arrest.
Anyone who remembers that night or has information about the shooting is asked to contact the San Francisco Police Department with tips.
