I'm curious if anyone else has looked into the kind of records that were available back in 1991 when John Curtis Byrd went missing. Given the lack of leads and the time that's passed, I've been trying to understand what limitations investigators might have faced back then. For example, what kind of communication methods or technology were primarily used by law enforcement? Were there databases that facilitated sharing missing persons info across counties or states at the time? It seems like digital tools we take for granted now weren't available, which might have impacted the way Byrd's case was initially handled and could explain some of the challenges in piecing together what happened. Would love to hear from anyone who knows more about investigative practices during the early '90s and how they may have evolved since then!
Hey everyone, I recently came across the case of John Curtis Byrd, who went missing in Orlando back in '91. I find it really puzzling that, after all these years, there's still so little info about his disappearance. What really gets me thinking is the fact that there's no record of what he was wearing or carrying at the time. It seems like such basic information would be helpful for identifying him if there were any potential sightings or new leads over the years. Does anyone else think it's odd that this detail is missing from so many old cases? Would love to hear your thoughts or theories on why certain information never makes it to the public in these cases.
