Does anyone have more information on the increase in violence in Pittsburgh during 2014? It’s so unsettling to realize that Jordan Kearney was another victim in what's described as one of the city's deadliest years in recent memory. I'm trying to wrap my head around how such a heightened level of violence flew under the radar for so many people at the time. It must have been terrifying for the residents, especially those in Stanton Heights. It makes me wonder what measures were put in place afterwards to address the issue. It's devastating to think about the impact this has had on families like Jordan’s, and the broader community who had to live in fear. Keeping his family in my thoughts as they endure such a challenging time.

As someone who has been following this case closely, I wanted to highlight how deeply saddened I am for Jordan Kearney's family and friends as they navigate this incredibly difficult time. It's truly troubling to think about how a place meant for learning and safety like Sunnyside Elementary School became the scene of such a tragic event. I can’t imagine how alarming this discovery was not only for the students and parents but also for the teachers and staff who are part of that tight-knit community. Given that Jordan often parked in that vicinity, it makes you wonder how vulnerable other areas might be to similar oversights. It's absolutely frustrating that a vehicle with broken windows went unnoticed for so long in such a public and frequented area. I really hope this tragedy spurs serious discussions about boosting security measures in all school zones to prevent something like this from happening again. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected, and I truly wish for peace for Jordan’s loved ones as well as justice to be served swiftly.

I’ve been following the discussion around Jordan Kearney’s tragic death, and something that really bothers me is how long it took for anyone to notice the car. It’s deeply unsettling that a vehicle with a shattered window could sit in front of an elementary school for so many hours without drawing attention. I get that it was late at night when it happened, but you’d think security or even early morning staff would have picked up on something being off by then. This makes me wonder about the level of routine vigilance in these places. With kids’ safety in question, surely there must be regular checks around school properties? This incident raises concerns not just about security at this school but at schools in similar neighborhoods that might also overlook certain protocols. It’s a tragedy for Jordan's family and loved ones, and it’s scary that such an oversight can happen somewhere meant to be safe for children. My thoughts go out to everyone who knew him. I hope this situation leads to some changes that prevent future tragedies like this.
