I've been following Jason Bevins' case for a while, and one thing that really sticks out to me is the lack of digital footprint, which isn't surprising given the era he went missing. It's interesting to think about how cases from the early '90s might differ if today's technology had been available back then. Would we have more clues through phone records, social media, or other digital trails? It's a bit of a time capsule when you think about how many cases could potentially have unfolded differently in our current digital age. It makes me wonder what little details might have gone unnoticed at the time simply because the tools to track them down weren't available. Thoughts?
I was reading about Jason Bevins' case, and one thing that strikes me is how little media attention it seems to have gotten over the years. Gering being a small town might play a part in this, but I can't help but wonder if more exposure could have helped generate new leads or encouraged someone to come forward with information. It's been over 30 years, and we all know how vital the media can be in keeping a missing person's case alive in people's minds. What are your thoughts on the role media has played in similar cases? Could advocating for more coverage still help, even after all this time?
