Clyde Prentiss Ellis Jr., 36, of Picayune, Mississippi, was last seen April 25, 1993, near the Pearl River at Walkiah Bluff Campgrounds. On the day he disappeared he was reportedly wearing a white polo shirt, gray jacket, jeans and gray boots. Distinctive medical details include a steel rod in his neck and dental fillings; reports also note a previously broken nose and the possibility that a plug of bone was removed from his femur.
Ellis’s boat was found partially submerged in the Pearl River about a quarter of a mile from the campground. Despite extensive searches, there has been no trace of him and few details have emerged about what happened that day. The Pearl River County Sheriff’s Office continues the investigation and is seeking information that could help resolve the case.
If anyone was at Walkiah Bluff Campgrounds or on that stretch of the Pearl River on April 25, 1993, can you provide tips or observations that might shed light on Ellis’s disappearance?
