I was reading about the Pitchers' case, and something intriguing caught my attention. It mentions that Dorothy's dentures, eyeglasses, purse, and driver's license were left behind at their home. This seems odd, considering they were just making a short trip to the store. Especially for someone like Dorothy who’d need her glasses regularly, leaving them behind feels out of place.
Could this suggest they thought they’d be returning home shortly, or were they in a hurry when they left, maybe forgetting some essential items? Or could it mean that their plans changed suddenly while they were out? Trying to piece this part of the puzzle together adds more questions than answers for me. It seems to imply they didn't intend to be away for long.
Anyone else have thoughts on what leaving those items behind might indicate?
I’ve been following the Pitcher case for years, and something that’s always puzzled me is the mention of that old van with Colorado plates. What was it doing there, so out of place in that small community? Did any witnesses remember seeing the driver or note anything unusual about the vehicle? Given how the scent disappeared near the road, it seems like it might have played a role in their disappearance. Has anyone else come across similar van sightings in the area or heard of other investigations involving vehicles like that around the same time? This case has so many layers, and details like this feel like they could be significant. Thoughts?
