Hey everyone, I've been following Dennis Paul Samstag's case and something just doesn't sit right with me about the friend he was with the day he disappeared. While I know that people pass out after drinking, especially by a river on a hot day, I can't shake the feeling that there's more to this. Why was Dennis left alone near the water if he was known to be disabled and a dependent adult? Has anyone else come across information about who this friend was or if they have been further questioned since 1994? Just seems odd that Dennis vanished without leaving a single clue behind. Wondering if anyone else has thoughts or more details on this angle?

Has anyone ever discussed the possibility that Dennis Paul Samstag might have accidentally drifted further down the Colorado River than originally searched? I know the river can sometimes be underestimated in terms of its current strength, especially if someone’s had a bit to drink. I've read that search efforts were initially concentrated around Wetmore Beach, but I'm wondering how far downstream they might have looked. Could any unusual water currents or eddies have carried him further than expected? I’d be interested to hear if anyone has explored water flow patterns in that area or if there are any other cases of similar incidents happening around there. ??

Has anyone looked into the possibility of there being any dangerous currents or unusual water conditions in the Colorado River near Wetmore Beach around the time Dennis Samstag disappeared? While the river was searched extensively, I wonder if there could have been conditions that made it especially hazardous, potentially causing him to be swept away without leaving any trace. Given Dennis's situation and the fact they had been drinking, he might have ended up in the water unintentionally. I’m not sure how frequently water levels or currents vary, but it could be worth considering if they might have played a role in this unexplained disappearance. Any insights from local folks or regulars who know the area well?
