Hey everyone, I'm hoping to shed light on a detail that doesn't get discussed much about Deandre Allison's case. The spot where Deandre was found, near McNeil Place and Webster Avenue, is unfortunately known by locals as a problematic area due to its history with violent crime. It's heartbreaking to think that this young man's life was cut short in a place that many community members try their hardest to avoid. From what I've read, there's a real push for community engagement in the Hill District to tackle these issues, but I can't help but feel like Deandre's case is a grim reminder of how much more work needs to be done to protect these neighborhoods. I hope anyone with information comes forward, not just for Deandre, but for the sake of preventing future tragedies in this area. Sending support and compassion to Deandre’s family and friends during what must be an unimaginably difficult time. They're not alone in wanting answers and justice.
