Chilling how many unresolved loose ends there are in the Klungness case. I’ve been thinking about why Martin Malcolm was never charged in relation to a more severe crime than theft, given his shady past. The police had enough suspicion to arrest him for stealing and siphoning cash, so why did they stop there? I mean, Malcolm admits to being one of the last people to see Jeffrey, plus he has a past with a second-degree murder conviction. That should warrant more scrutiny, right?
There’s always the possibility that evidence just isn’t there, but it still gives me goosebumps to think a person potentially involved in a disappearance and murder is out there. I can't help but wonder how this affects eyewitnesses’ ability to come forward with info. Could fear of repercussion be keeping someone silent? It might take just one more brave person to finally shed light on what happened to Jeffrey and Susan. Let's keep sharing and discussing—every thought and theory counts.
