I've been following Jerem M. Angeles' case for a while now, and I'm struck by how complicated these investigations can become. I was reading about how Long Beach in 2007 had so many challenges with gang-related violence, and it makes me wonder how difficult it must have been for the police to track down valuable leads amidst all the chaos. Sometimes I think about how many cases like Jerem's might slip through the cracks because there’s just too much going on at the same time. I hope telling his story helps bring some attention back to his case. Hoping for strength for his family and friends as they continue living without answers. ?
Hey everyone, I’ve been reading about Jerem M. Angeles, the young man who lost his life back in 2007 in Long Beach. What really caught my attention was how deeply his friends described him as being involved in the community, always eager to help others and make a difference despite the challenges of his surroundings. It’s so upsetting that someone with such potential and kindness could be taken away in such a senseless act.
It makes you think about all the preventative measures that might help in such communities. Had there been more support and outreach back then, I wonder if it might have made a difference for Jerem and others. For those who knew him, do you think there were enough resources available at the time for young people trying to avoid these violent circumstances, or was it more about being in the wrong place at the wrong time? Sending thoughts to his family and friends who’ve had to carry this loss for so many years.
