I would like to see the initial police report. Does anyone have it?
It's really puzzling to me that Clarence Dagnan took all his clothes before he disappeared. It makes you wonder if he planned to leave for some reason or if there was something more going on. It's not every day you hear about someone who's legally blind and wears hearing aids just picking up and leaving like that. Could this lead investigators to consider other possibilities, such as someone coercing him or some sort of foul play? Or was it an indication of him wanting to start anew, even at 68? Still can't wrap my head around how such little evidence has popped up after all these years. What do you guys think might be the reason for him taking all his clothes?
Maybe someone promised him something and told him to gather his clothes for a trip.
Do you know how it is known that he took his clothes?
Has anyone looked into the idea that Clarence Dagnan might have been planning to leave based on the fact he took all his clothes with him? It seems like such a deliberate action, especially considering his age and legal blindness. Could he have been trying to start over somewhere new, or maybe join someone who offered to help? I've been following this case for a while, and it's always struck me as odd that he took everything. It feels like there's a piece of the puzzle missing here. Does anyone know if there were any sightings or tips related to his clothes from around the time he went missing?
Hey everyone, I recently came across Clarence Dagnan's case from 1997, and something that really stood out to me is the strange detail about him taking all his clothes with him before he disappeared. This feels unusually deliberate for someone planning to disappear without a trace, especially considering his legal blindness and reliance on hearing aids. Does anyone else think this indicates a pre-arranged plan or perhaps involvement from someone he trusted? It's been so long and we're still left with questions and next to no answers from the authorities. Would love to hear thoughts from anyone familiar with disappearances involving people with similar disabilities or the significance of taking personal belongings like clothes in such cases. Let’s brainstorm!
Hello, I’m interested in this case as well. Can anyone shed light on how it is known he took his clothes with him? What about other possessions? It makes sense that he left with someone he trusted due to his disabilities. So that would mean whoever he left with probably knows what happened, right? So has anyone looked into who he was known to be friends with at the time? Does anyone have a copy of the initial police report?

It was in the police report which was submitted to the NAMUS database. You can see the file information here.
