Did anyone else come across the detail about Fred Moseley's car and think it was odd that the shotgun was the main target? I mean, from what I've read, the area where the car was abandoned wasn't exactly desolate, so you’d think someone would have noticed if there was a struggle over a gun right there. And why take the car to Randall County and then leave it? It almost feels like whoever did it wanted to send some sort of message, or maybe they were trying to steer the investigation in a different direction. I wonder if there was anything overlooked back in '98 when the car was first found. Just a thought—I'm curious what everyone else makes of this.

Has anyone else noticed how Fred's car being found in Randall County is such a strange detail? I keep coming back to it. If Gerald Dooley and Mario Campos intended to cover their tracks, why didn't they completely dispose of the car instead of just abandoning it? Also, the missing shotgun is so peculiar. Was it just a crime of opportunity, or did they have a specific reason for targeting Fred? I wonder if there’s more to the story with the car and the shotgun. Something about it doesn’t add up to me, even after all these years. Anyone else have any thoughts on this part of the case?

Has anyone looked into the timeline discrepancies in Fred Moseley's case? I was digging through some old articles and noted that his car was found abandoned, but there seems to be conflicting info about when it was discovered relative to when his parents reported him missing. Some sources say it was spotted the same day his parents came back, others say it was a bit later. Could just be journalistic error, but it’s strange that details are fuzzy considering how crucial the initial days are in a missing person case. Also, what about that missing shotgun? Seems odd that it was a key point in the robbery and murder but rarely gets mentioned. Could the specifics around its disappearance shed more light on what happened to Fred? Would love to hear others' thoughts or insights on this.
