I’ve been thinking a lot about the neighborhood where Aaron Batte lived and was tragically killed. It's just so upsetting to imagine something like this happening so close to home for residents there. North 16th Street isn’t just a place on a map; it’s where people live their lives, raise families, and go about their daily routines. The fact that Aaron was found so close to where he resided makes it all the more distressing for the community. I just keep wondering if someone saw or heard something that night. Was there anything out of the ordinary? Philly was really grappling with a lot of violence back then, and it must have created such a tense environment for everyone. I hope someone comes forward with information soon so that Aaron’s family can find some peace and the community can start healing. Sending thoughts to all who knew him and hoping for justice.
