I've been following the case of Raekwon Epps for some time, and it's so difficult to comprehend how, in a neighborhood brimming with potential witnesses, no one has come forward with information that could help solve this. I often think about those early morning hours on Brushton Avenue, and I wonder if there are lingering fears or loyalty issues keeping people silent. It must be incredibly tough for Raekwon’s mother, Lisa, to keep pushing for answers without yet finding the closure she so deeply deserves. Given the presence of multiple witnesses, it is puzzling that no arrests have been made. It raises questions about what needs to change in policing or community outreach efforts to make it safer for people to speak up. There has to be someone out there who knows or saw something. If you have any small detail, however insignificant it might seem, please think about how much it could mean to Raekwon’s family. They’ve lost a loved one, but they shouldn’t have to lose hope for justice too. Please speak up if you can.
