Has anyone noticed any patterns with missing elderly individuals in the Somerset area around that time? I'm just trying to piece things together in my mind. I’ve been reading about Thomas Borum's case, and the fact that a well-respected 86-year-old could just vanish without clear clues is perplexing. I know there were flyers and a lot of local media coverage, but it seems like the ground just swallowed up any evidence. Are there any theories or similar cases out there that might offer some insight? With such an extensive search back then, it feels like something might have been overlooked or happened that wasn't immediately obvious.
It’s baffling to me how Thomas Borum could just vanish without a trace. I was going through some old newspaper articles, and there were reports that the last known sighting of Thomas was at his favorite grocery store on Main Street. Some locals mentioned that he always chatted with the cashier there, but there hasn't been any concrete info about what happened after that. Does anyone remember if there were any surveillance cameras in that area back in 2000? It might be a long shot, but sometimes local businesses keep old footage for years. With how technology has evolved, maybe it could be digitally enhanced now? Thoughts?
Has anyone here delved into the specifics around Thomas Borum's routine prior to his disappearance? I mean, I know he was a regular at the Somerset Library and often stopped by the tiny coffee shop down the street to chat with folks. Just wondering if anyone's looked into any unusual occurrences at these spots or anyone else who might have noticed something strange around those days? It’s clear he was deeply rooted in the community, so maybe someone else out there noticed something that seemed off but didn’t think much of it at the time. Maybe reaching out to those places again could jog someone's memory? Sometimes the smallest detail can be the key. Thoughts?
