I was just thinking about Rebekah Westphal's case. Something that's always struck me as odd is how she managed to disappear without any of her personal belongings. I understand that people sometimes leave things behind in stressful situations, but her money and ID? It doesn’t add up. Was she planning to leave for just a short time, or was she expecting to come back? And if she was in danger, wouldn’t grabbing her ID be the first instinct? It makes me wonder if someone she trusted was involved, and she didn’t feel the need to take these items. It's just so puzzling and unsettling to think there’s been no breakthrough after all these years. The investigators and family must feel like they're stuck in a never-ending cycle of hope and frustration. Hoping someone out there knows something they haven't realized could be significant and decides to come forward.
