I can't stop thinking about the lack of security cameras in the area where Derrick Williams was killed. As someone who lives nearby, it’s deeply frustrating that there aren't more surveillance measures in place, especially on a busy block like North 17th Street. Could footage have given the police the lead they so desperately need? It’s unsettling to know that even with today's technology, we're often left without answers. My heart goes out to Derrick’s family and friends who are left waiting for justice. If there’s anyone local here, do you know if there have been any initiatives to push for increased CCTV in our neighborhood since this tragedy? It just seems like such a missed opportunity to deter crime and help solve cases like Derrick’s.
