I've been following the Johnnie Taylor case, and something that's caught my attention is the location where he was last seen. The 9600 block of River Road seems pretty remote and industrial, given that it's near a barge operation. It got me thinking about how easily accidents can happen in such environments, especially with adverse weather conditions. Wasn't there rain that day, too? I've seen some cases where unexpected weather led to tragic outcomes in maritime settings. It seems plausible that the rain gear he was putting on might have been due to an incoming storm. I wonder if anyone else working in the area had noticed anything off that morning or if surveillance caught any other details. Such a tragic case, and I hope they find the missing pieces someday.

Hey everyone, I've been going through old missing persons cases and came across the case of Johnnie Taylor from Waggaman, Louisiana. Something that's puzzling me is the hard hat found in the river. It makes me wonder about the water currents around that area. Does anyone here have knowledge about how those currents work or if they could've swept more items away downstream? If the hard hat made it to where it was found, I'm curious about whether something heavier like a body would follow a similar path or if it could've gotten snagged somewhere else. It's just frustrating not having answers after all these years. Anyone have any insights or theories on this?

Did anyone else notice the unique details about Johnnie Taylor's appearance? He's got those 10-15 circular black marks on his tongue, which I've never heard of before in a missing persons case. It seems like such a distinctive trait that might have made identifying him easier if he'd turned up somewhere unexpected. Yet, all these years and still no trace besides the hard hat. It's those little details that make these cases stick in my mind and keep me hoping some new clue will come up. Anyone have any insights into those black marks, or maybe they've come across similar cases with unique features?
