Hey everyone, been following Roy Maynard's case and something's been on my mind about his disappearance. I find it odd that Roy's eating habits changed so drastically before he vanished. It's mentioned that he stopped eating and was sleeping in his truck instead of staying inside with his nephew. Could this have been a sign he was planning to leave for good, or just another symptom of what his family described as a nervous breakdown? I wonder if there's more info out there on how long this behavior went on and if anyone in the area noticed anything else unusual. It's so puzzling that someone could just vanish like that. Anyone else have thoughts on this?
Does anyone have more background on Roy Maynard's tree-cutting business? I'm curious if any former clients or business associates have been interviewed or mentioned anything unusual during the investigations. It seems like running a business like that, especially in financial trouble, could have led to interactions with some sketchy individuals. Maybe someone remembers something that could help the case? Also, wondering if law enforcement looked into his client list or recent jobs for any leads. If anyone has any insights or heard anything about this angle, it could provide a new perspective.
Has anyone else looked into the timing of Roy Maynard's disappearance in relation to local events or gatherings in the Pleasant Garden area back in 2004? I find it strange that he wasn’t reported missing for several days. It might have been due to his family's expectation that he just needed some time alone given his personal struggles, but maybe there’s something more to it. Was there a festival or any kind of event around May 10th that might have drawn lots of outsiders into town or even out-of-towners who he could've interacted with? I wonder if Roy, in his state of mind, might have wandered towards something that gave him comfort or distraction, and that could've put him in contact with someone who knows more. Anyone local remember any events around that time?
