Martin Miles Chance, known as Marty, was 47 when he was last seen at his Romeo, Michigan, apartment on May 14, 2004. Eleven days later a neighbor reported the apartment’s door open; three electric fans were running, windows were open, and his truck remained parked in the driveway. No signs of forced entry, burglary, or a violent struggle were reported inside.

Only three personal items were missing: his keys, wallet, and cell phone. He left most belongings behind and did not take extra clothes or pack for travel. Official descriptions list him as 6 feet 3 inches and about 230–240 pounds, dark brown hair, brown eyes, a scar on the right side of his forehead, and tattoos on his upper arms including an eagle. He was reportedly allergic to bee stings; dental X-rays and fingerprints are on file.

Foul play is suspected, but there are no publicly disclosed confirmed sightings, financial transactions, or phone records establishing what happened after he left. If anyone knew Marty, his routines, or saw him in mid-May 2004, please come forward with information.
