It's been over four decades since Lena Malmberg was tragically taken from her family, and reading about her case still leaves me feeling deeply disturbed. I keep pondering the manner in which she was found. It's unsettling to think about how quickly things can change, especially in the comfort of one's own home. It really makes you wonder, was she targeted intentionally, or was it a random act of violence? I can't stop thinking about her daughter, who must live with the haunting discovery every day. It's a stark reminder of the fortitude families must have in the face of such inconceivable loss. If only someone had seen something back then, maybe this wouldn't be a cold case now. The neighborhood has probably changed a lot since 1982, but someone out there must have known something, then or even now. If you have any snippets of memory or knowledge related to SE 20th Avenue during that time, even something seemingly insignificant, please consider coming forward. No piece of information is too small. Let’s do what we can to support Lena’s family in their continued quest for justice.
