I came across the case of Grace Turel while reading about unsolved crimes in Portland, and it just breaks my heart to think about what she went through. It's baffling how someone could do this to a 77-year-old woman who was simply living her life after losing her husband. I can't stop thinking about the fact that she was known for keeping her doors locked and being so cautious. It just goes to show that even when we try to protect ourselves, sometimes things are out of our control. With no clear motive like robbery, it makes one wonder if it was something personal or even random, which is unsettling. I can’t imagine how hard this must be for Grace's family, not having answers all these years later. I'm really hoping that with the continued efforts of the Cold Case Unit, someone out there might have a piece of the puzzle and come forward. My thoughts are with Grace's loved ones who are still waiting for justice.
