Has anyone else been digging into the VIN number for Kirchoff's car? I understand the car was never found, but I’m curious if the car’s details were ever logged anywhere south of the border. A gold 1992 Nissan Maxima isn’t exactly super common these days, even back in 2007. Wondering if it could’ve been repainted or chopped for parts. If it was involved in any kind of accident or repair in Mexico, maybe a auto shop might have a record of it? It's such a crucial piece of this puzzle, if we could just track down the car’s movements, it might give us more insight into what happened that night. Thoughts?
Does anyone have any info on the dark-colored sedan involved in Kirchoff's case? It seems like such a crucial lead that seems to have gone cold. Was it ever tracked down or identified by law enforcement? It's puzzling how a vehicle involved in an alleged abduction can just vanish without leaving a trace. Could it possibly have been altered or disposed of across the border? I've read about similar cases where cars were used until they essentially vanished off the radar by being dismantled or rebranded. Also, was there any mention of security cameras in the area of Esperanza Apartments or along the route they took south? Sometimes a small piece of evidence can pop up years later in these kinds of situations.
Just stumbled onto something curious while looking into the Kirchoff case. Has anyone else noticed that after he disappeared, there were several reports of a gold Nissan being spotted in small towns near the border? I read some chatters in local forums from folks claiming to have seen it but didn't think much of it at the time. Especially considering the VIN wasn't checked at the border, could it be possible some locals might know more than they're saying? It got me thinking if maybe his abductors ditched or stashed the car in a secluded area and it was just moving around the local scene out there. Anyone here with connections to those communities or heard similar stories? The lack of solid leads is frustrating, but maybe any small tip helps?
