Hey everyone,
I've been digging into the Albert Bloch case, and something that keeps gnawing at me is the role of the housing program he was part of. I’m wondering if any of the social circles within that program might have had more information on his state of mind before he disappeared. These programs are designed to create community and offer support, so is it possible that someone there noticed any changes in his behavior or mood in the days leading up to September 26, 2007?
I find it odd that the case worker was the one to report him missing only after a month without contact, given his health and the structure of these programs. Was it common for him to fall off the radar, or was this behavior truly out of character? Could there be something more that someone from the program might have noticed but didn’t realize was significant at the time?
If anyone has insights or experience with similar programs, it would be interesting to hear how they generally operate in terms of monitoring and the type of interactions clients typically have. Maybe digging deeper into this aspect could shed some light on what led up to his disappearance.
Has anyone else looked into the possibility of other potential victims connected to Mark Hebert? The fact that Bloch's credit card and checks were found at Hebert's place makes me wonder if there are more cases like this that just haven’t been linked yet. With Hebert's history of fraud and theft, it wouldn't be surprising if there were others who suffered similar fates. I find it odd that he got away with so much before finally being caught. Has this angle been discussed? It seems like connecting any additional dots could help bring more clarity to Bloch’s disappearance and perhaps offer some leads about where he might be.
Also, what's puzzling is the parking of Bloch’s car near his apartment. If it was indeed Hebert behind all this, how did he ensure no one saw anything suspicious when the car was left there? Some kind of oversight or bad luck for him there, I suppose, but it's definitely strange. Would love to hear if anyone has any more insight or theories on this.
Did anyone else catch the bit about Albert Bloch's personal belongings being found in Mark Hebert's home? I'm really curious about how much was found there and if it gives any insight into what might have happened. It seems odd that Bloch's substantial bank account was untouched, which makes me think Hebert’s motivation might not have been financial. Does anyone know if there was any connection between the two aside from the car accident? It’s pretty unsettling to think about the kind of person Hebert was, especially with those charges against him. I'd love to hear any theories or thoughts on what went down between Bloch and Hebert that night.
