Hey everyone, I've been following Jason Childers' case for a while now, and there's something I've been mulling over. I keep coming back to the fact that his wallet and the store's cash were left untouched. Given that nothing seems to have been taken, could this have been personal rather than a random act of violence? It's hard to imagine someone just walking in and committing such a brutal act without any apparent motive that we'd typically expect in a convenience store setting. What if Jason knew his attacker, or maybe there was some altercation we aren't aware of? I know it's all speculation at this point, but it just doesn't sit right with me that someone would do this without a reason that connects to Jason in some way. My heart goes out to his family and friends, having to live without answers for so long. I've read that sometimes in these unsolved cases, it's the smallest detail that can break it open. If anyone was around OHSU or frequented that Plaid Pantry back in 1997 and remembers anything unusual, it might be worth reaching out to authorities. Even after all these years, any lead could help bring a sense of closure to those who knew and loved Jason. Hoping we can keep discussing and maybe one day help uncover the truth. - [username]
