I came across a really chilling aspect of Roger Dale Madison's disappearance. Did you guys know that after Mack Ray Edwards confessed in 1970, he mentioned specific details about the construction site that only someone involved would know? Edwards’ familiarity with the site and how he used the machinery to supposedly bury Roger's body shows how terrifyingly calculated some of these criminals are. It's wild how someone could manipulate not just the trust of a young boy but also use their job in such a sinister way. Despite all this, it seems unbelievable that after all these years, and even with Edwards pointing out the possible burial location, no remains have been found. Do you think it's possible that some other factor, maybe even an accomplice who knew the area, could have played a role or moved the body? What are your thoughts on how these cases are approached today versus back then?
Has anyone else been left wondering about the lack of physical evidence in the Roger Dale Madison case? It's so perplexing that despite Mack Ray Edwards confessing to the murder and even pinpointing the burial location, Roger's remains have never been found. I mean, we’re talking about a massive piece of infrastructure—the Route 23 Freeway. Doesn’t someone have access to old construction records that might indicate what areas were most disturbed during the roadway’s development? It’s frustrating because advances in technology since 2008 should theoretically make it easier to conduct a precise search, right? I feel like if we can scan historic sites with ground-penetrating radar, shouldn't we be able to do something similar here? Perhaps it's time for a fresh look at any construction notes or contractor records that might give insights into potential search sites. Maybe there's something that was overlooked in previous searches. Thoughts?
I was reading about Roger Dale Madison's case and something struck me about the connection between Edwards and the Madison family. It's crazy how someone who lived nearby, like Edwards, could be trusted enough to lure Roger away. It makes you wonder about the community back then—did neighbors know each other well enough not to suspect anything, or were there warning signs everyone missed? In cases like this, it seems the lines between friend and predator can blur so easily, especially when trust is involved. It’s unsettling to think about how easily predators blend in sometimes.
