Why target a loving young mother who was home with her child and brother? It's so chilling to think about. It feels like there must have been something personal or known to her, especially since there were no signs of forced entry. Someone she knew, maybe? It's deeply unsettling to think about the fear and confusion she may have felt during those final moments.
