Did anyone else find it odd how the weather played into Douglas Legg's disappearance? I came across an old news article mentioning an unexpected cold snap hit the area shortly after he went missing. It got me thinking—could that drastic weather change have contributed to his disorientation, assuming he didn’t meet foul play? Poor Douglas was without those long pants he was sent back to get, and hypothermia might’ve set in quicker than we'd expect. It’s all speculation, of course, but maybe there’s more focus that should be placed on environmental factors in cases like this. Also, has anyone seen if weather-related incidents were ever pursued thoroughly during the searches? Just curious if there were any accounts from the searchers themselves about those first few days after he vanished.

Was anyone else surprised by the psychic element in the Douglas John Legg case? I've read about many missing person cases, but it's not often you hear about psychics being brought in during the search efforts. I wonder if there were any specific leads or insights they provided. Obviously, nothing came of it since Douglas's case remains unsolved, but it makes me curious about how seriously law enforcement and volunteer search teams took these non-traditional methods back in the 1970s. It's interesting to consider how desperate families and communities must have been to explore every possible avenue, no matter how unconventional. Does anyone have more info on what the psychics said or any other unique methods used during the searches?

Has anyone else noticed the sheer scale of the search effort put into finding Douglas? Over 1,000 volunteers canvassing the area, helicopters sweeping from above, and bloodhounds trying to track his scent. It's crazy how such a comprehensive search operation led to absolutely no results. Given that he was familiar with the area, it doesn’t really align that Douglas could just vanish without a trace like that. It makes me wonder if something more secretive or sinister happened that day, perhaps something that was overlooked or just never came to light. I’d really like to know if someone in the region might have seen or heard anything back then, even if it didn’t seem important at the time. What do y'all think about the possibility of something foul at play here?
